This painting was done for a show in LA at the shrine auditorium where Insane Clown Posse were going to appear.
I am a Fan (Juggalo) so I did this painting on the spur of the moment (I had just lost my crappy color seperatior job and needed release) so I spent 12 hours with a little single action pasche POS airbrush so that we could pack up and drive 8 hours or so, to LA.
We were featured at the show so part of the exuastion was trying to maintain a booth when you have had no sleep in the last 36 hours or so.
So while we were waiting for ICP to arrive I was standing outside and up walks Linda Blair (the little girl from the exorcist)
she was a guest at the show as well, I stood outside and had a smoke with her. and trust me the day seemed surreal enough BEFORE this! Such a sweet Lady and VERY beautiful! anyways I digress...
While I was outside the line had formed to meed Jay and Shaggy, A fuckin HUGE line! so I grabbed my painting and stood in it. after about an hour I started to lose hope of getting to meet em' and get my painting signed. ICP had a schedule to keep and we were nearing the deadline...I was far from the front of the line...
But then a strange thing started to happen. as I was standing in line the painting had grown in popularity with th Faygo sipping masses gathered (and bored) in line. And the fans seeing that my painting was not going to make it to the front in time gave me cuts to about the third person to the front. I could see them!
Just when I thought I had won, the bouncer (or whatever) said "from now on this is a meet and greet only! no more autographs we're almost out of time"
I was 3 people back. I WAS NOT GOING TO FAIL!!!
I reached the front of the line and I started to say "I haven't slept in 36 hours and I drove all night just to meet you guys..."
But as I thrust the painting (and pen) out before me Violent Jay Grabbed it from my hands and yelled "WOAH" and Shaggs gave me props and they both signed it!"
I had no right to be in front of that line and for all the Juggalos who let me cut I held the painting above my head and gave a BATTLE CRY! "YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH HHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
and the line (about 300 people) all yelled back!
uuuuuuuuuu huh huh...
It was cool.
(the painting does not like to be photographed since it was signed, the pictires sometimes have a green fog)
so I appologize for the quallity.
If you look in my scraps you will find an old newspaper article from when I was a little younger than you.
you can kind of see the art in it. and it dosen't look as good as your stuff.
And you are probably a lot smarter than me so you have a definate advantage!
